When I see the photograph I want, I will do everything I can to capture it.
Photography has been a hobby of mine for over 20 years.  But it wasn't until I discovered the ingredient of exploration that this hobby turned into a passion.  Living in the Midwest does not give me easy access to most of our nation's majestic landscapes, so when traveling to these areas I have a finite amount of time to get the best shot I can (rarely under ideal conditions).
For many years my most active pursuit has been in endurance sports.  I have completed 5 Ironman triathlons (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run), ran a 50 mile ultramarathon, completed long backpacking treks, and other endurance events.  I find any way I can to enjoy the outdoors through activities such as trail running, gravel biking,, kayaking, paddle boarding, and fly fishing.  Of course, I try to have my camera by my side.
I believe Mother Nature is the soul to all life.  My mission is to find ways to inspire people to become connected with nature and being active in the outdoors.  I hope my photography in some small way can help.  Finding a connection to nature is so essential to everyone's wellbeing.  because if you are connected to something you respect it, protect it, and love it.  I sadly believe we take this planet for granted everyday.  We exist only because Mother Nature allows us to.  The forces of nature are far greater than mankind, but we  also have the ability to influence it.  So whenever possible, get outside, enjoy nature's sights and sounds, and keep our waters clean and our lands pristine.
